Vision Quest Joe Locke: What We Know So Far
Vision Quest, Marvel Television's Disney+ limited series centered on Paul Bettany's Vision, premiered on October 14, 2026. The keyword "Vision Quest Joe Locke" reflects one of the most searched questions among fans: how does Joe Locke, the actor who plays Billy Maximoff (Wiccan) in Agatha All Along, connect to Vision's new chapter?
The answer runs through the WandaVision family storyline. Wanda Maximoff's twin sons — Billy and Tommy — were created inside the Westview hex, and Agatha All Along followed Billy's search for his brother Tommy Shepherd. Vision Quest picks up that thread by placing Thomas Shepherd at the center of an escape-driven storyline alongside Vision, making the Maximoff family legacy a core pillar of the series.
Official materials confirm Paul Bettany (Vision) and James Spader (Ultron) as leads, and confirm Thomas Shepherd as a key character. Any statements about Joe Locke appearing in Vision Quest as Billy Maximoff are fan-facing continuity analysis, not official cast announcements. Treat those sections as informed theory.
The confirmed core cast table:
| Actor | Character | Role | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Paul Bettany | Vision | Lead, rebooted synthezoid | Confirmed |
| James Spader | Ultron | Central antagonist, returning AI | Confirmed |
| Joe Locke | Billy Maximoff / Wiccan | Wanda's son (Agatha All Along) | Not confirmed for Vision Quest |

Why Billy Maximoff Matters to Vision's Story
Joe Locke's Billy Maximoff is the bridge between three Marvel Television projects: WandaVision, Agatha All Along, and now Vision Quest. Understanding his arc explains why the "Joe Locke" search term surged alongside the series launch.
WandaVision (2021)
- Billy and Tommy born inside the hex
- Dissolved when Wanda lifted the spell
- Established the family tragedy
Agatha All Along (2024)
- Joe Locke's Billy reborn in a new body
- Discovers his Wiccan identity
- Ends searching for Tommy
Vision Quest (2026)
- Tommy Shepherd enters Vision's storyline
- Escape-driven plot with family themes
- Ultron's legacy resurfaces
If you only watch two shows before Vision Quest, make them WandaVision and Agatha All Along. WandaVision defines Vision's identity crisis; Agatha All Along defines Billy and Tommy's fate. Together they cover nearly every emotional beat Vision Quest builds on.
Step-by-Step: The Road to Vision Quest

Vision dies at Wanda's hands, then again to Thanos. Endgame's events set up Wanda's grief.
WandaVision
Wanda's hex creates a new Vision and twin sons. White Vision departs with restored memories — the body Vision Quest follows.
Agatha All Along
Joe Locke's Billy Maximoff returns and begins hunting for Tommy Shepherd, the thread that leads directly into Vision Quest.
Vision Quest
Premiered October 14, 2026 on Disney+. Vision and Thomas Shepherd take center stage; Ultron's legacy drives the conflict.
